Teddy

I twist and turn in my sleep
Reaching out, grasping.
Where could she be?
My little treasure,
My sole purpose,
My life.
Clothes and love
Forever and ever
More precious than anything else.
Worn and matted by hugs and age.
No matter what anyone else says
I feel amazing, safe and light as a cloud,
When I’m with my heroine teddy bear.
She’ll always be there for me,
Concealing my fears, worries and dreams.
But for now, my beautiful bear,
Let’s sleep to rejuvenate us,
Ready for another adventure-filled day.
