Heavenly lorikeets,
perch while I watch
They harmoniously sing in perfect sync to
the rustle of leaves
I contemplate time as the calm breeze slowly caresses my face
Bark crisps off the trunk revealing messages long hidden
My mind left at peace
I lie wondering what life means
Is it all that grows or something deeper?
My soul transported to another plane
Everything around me, gone in an instance
All my worries left behind…
I am set free
