The Big Green Leaf

My eyes blindly followed the path of green,
The ruined bark along the tree huddled to keep it warm,
Seeing all this beauty not far from home made me feel all my life I've been controlled by machines,
The leaves circled as if they were a swarm,
All this had me in disbelief,
But as the sun disappeared and the cold set out to find me I was protected by the big green leaf.
