the bleeding tree

I once saw a tree red was leaking out,

The thing leaking out was the sap,

Insects were crawling all over the sap,

The sap was so sticky it looked sad to me,

Because the insects were getting stuck,

The sap was as red as blood,

But the insects were also eating the sap,

I went home and came back the next day,

To check on the tree but I saw more sap on the tree trunk,

The tree's sap was drying up and the sap was somehow,

Still leaking out it was like a water tap,

Just not as fast and there was a big puddle,

On the ground the tree was creaking,

And swaying in the wind the tree was leaning as it swayed,

I started to cry because it looked like it was going to break,

The next day I came back to the tree,

And I could see that the tree was leaning over more and more,

I stayed overnight and I watched as it was leaning over so much,

I thought it was going to break I closed my eyes I thought to myself,

If the tree was going to fall I would go with it if not I’ll be there.
