The Blue Whale and Pollution

The playful blue whale glides like silk through the currents of the ocean
It surfaces and shoots a fountain of spray into the air
Only the krill are left behind
The blue whale sticks its fin out of the water and waves hello to the scuba divers
They latch onto its dorsal fin and are carried through the azure waters
As the blueback glides through the water the divers see all the other endangered species
They see a baby humpback tangled in fishing net
Turtles handcuffed by soft drink can packaging
Sea otters choking on plastic bottle lids
And tuna fish twisted and bound in plastic bags
The whale communicates urgently with the divers by showing them the tragedies under the ocean deep
“Go back to shore and stop the tragedies of pollution and man made waste,” says the whale
You can help stop this extinction before it's too late
