The Bush Alight

The bush was silent,
The sun backing the shrubs and animals,
Magnification of the rays.
Smoke covered the sky.
It spread like dancing ribbons,
Flames as tall as skyscrapers,
Creating a hot, flaming furnace.
Smoke covered the sky.
The tall trees trembled with fear and fright,
Their skin burning and turning
Black.
Smoke covered the sky.
Ash all around as animals ran away,
Crackle, the roaring flame
Silence again.
Smoke covered the sky.
The land was bare
Once green, now black.
