The Bushfire

It scorched the entire forest,
It snaked through the trees.
Its ferocious flames spread about,
They were big and mean.
It felt no mercy for the trees,
Burning to the core.
Its tremendous tongue licked the tops,
Of new-born saplings.
It destroyed the animals homes,
Leaving none behind.
Feeling no emotions for the,
Animals sharp cries.
But when the dark clouds came to be,
Hope arrived at last.
Raindrops fell from the miracle,
Saving lives again.
And when the flames were out of sight,
Fear was gone for all.
Animals could be free again,
Safe from certain death.
