As your feet hit the ground, you dig in you toes,
Turn your great head, to where the river flows.

The cassowary is brave, the cassowary is strong,
But these birds are leaving the place that they belong.

Humans come with bulldozers, humans come with trucks,
We knock down all the trees and turn it all to muck.

In the night the dingo howls, searching for his prey,
Guard your eggs cassowary, and all throughout the day.

We need to help these great, proud birds, by protecting the forest's trees,
We need to stop being too cruel, we have to stop this… please.
