The Custodians of the Land

On the Dja Dja Wurrung land,
The bush is hot in the Aussie heat,
The Magpies screeching in the Gum Trees,
The Yowie hides from the land,
The trees dry from drought,
The Mokoi flees to the outback.

On the Yankunytjatjara land,
The Dingos roaming,
The Emus sprinting, the fastest bird in the land,
Thorny Devils hide from the Liru,
Biblies running from the day,
And the Goannas basking in the sun,
Dear the magic mountain Uluru.
