The Daffodil Field
By Lucy Y
The lonely girl ran up the hill
To see a field of daffodils
She watched the sunset in a freeze
as she felt the warm sunset breeze
She sat there all day
"I couldn't be more gay!" (Happy)
She waited and waited
But it soon became hatred
Off she went leaving it behind
She tried to forget but it was always on her mind
She couldn't hold it anymore, she had to go back!
As for her happiness is what she lacks
As her eyes met the field once again
Her eyes shone as this time it's different with what it contains
The smells were pleasant as they bloomed
She didn't know they are doomed
The next day she saw the hill with smoke
Tears streamed down her face as she started to choke (from tears)
By the time she got there, it was only charcoal and ash
She didn't know that beautiful nature had such a bad catch
