The Deep Terror

A deep terror stirs within the earth's blood.

In fact it could cause a catastrophic toxic gas flood.

And with that catastrophe on scud, only together can we make this catastrophe a dud.

The first to die of this plague was the Silurian.

Where Devonian would be the next of kin.

The Siberian traps gas and gamma rays closed in, with many to die to the earth's sin.

Second to go was the Devonian.

With majestic creatures that seemed almost draconian.

Again a plague that came from the Siberian, just like that life caved in.

The worst of all, the Permian.

Where 95% of life died to the Siberian.

A deadly terror underneath the Earth's skin.

And life went, like a balloon to a pin.

And then the Cretaceous came.

When life went like a moth to a flame.

The asteroid might have taken the blame…yet it was the dinosaurs that Deccan traps overcame.

These traps are contributing to climate change

Not many people know of this threat so strange, and to me, this is an outrage.
