Within the heart of Australia where the wildlands abide,

The cries of nature could be heard far and wide.

With every tiny gush of a single breeze,

The wind silently delivers urgent pleas.

The Regent Honeyeater spreads its wings in flight,

Constantly seeking for shelter day and night.

From within the forests, the Grey Snake flees,

While the Koalas cling onto the remaining trees.

The White-bellied Frog abandons the once-clean rivers,

While the remaining species of the Bottle Tree withers.

As toxic waste escapes the sewerage treatment tanks,

It engulfs the home of the platypuses, the unblemished banks.

After all these years, it's time to answer Nature’s constant call,

Let's put an end to our beloved species' sufferings once and for all.
