The Earth's Wonderful Gifts

The trees are dropping, dropping their autumn leaves,
The colours are fabulous, swaying in the breeze,
The ceders stand tall, tall like a mountain,
The birds are flying, flying through a fountain,
The lorrikeets are singing their sweet little song,
The lizards are warming, warming in the sun,
The roots are reaching down into the earth,
Reaching and feeling the wiggly, wiggly worms,
The wind is loudly howling and the leaves are quietly rustling,
While scratching for bugs, bush turkey's bustling,
The wallaby's swiftly jumping, jumping over the rocks,
Whilst also getting away from the big, sly fox,
The koala is sleeping, sleeping in the trees,
The emu is just resting, resting in the breeze,
The creek is flowing, flowing through the hills,
The fish are swimming and breathing through their gills,
The sun is shining, shining through the trees
.....onto my nice warm cheeks.
