Every day, a leaf falls,

As the frosty weather nears, they float down, slowly, calmly, without any disruption

Knowing their end, they lie covered with pall

Their time is up,

Chests no longer rising

The empty body beside many others, blood no longer pumped

The buzzing of machines aligning,

The cracks and snaps and rips

Leaves still green and nourished, as the branch was falling

Tears drip,

They weep, they wish,

For the place above to be bliss

Spring comes, winter abolished

The flowers bloom again

Animals awaken and run around, the plants flourish

New leaves replace the slain

The green buds stick out from branches, filling the empty space

However, in our hearts, the fallen remain.
