The Fires

Blinding.
Snaking through the canopy.
The trees set ablaze,
their skin burning away.
The raging flames demolish everything in their way. 
Beasts of the bush scarper like weaklings, searching for shelter;
While other critters linger behind.
Red and yellow stretches across the land
Until all is cinder.
From early October 'til late March,
The Australian Bushfires burn.
