The First and Last

She was the first to hear my cry
And the first to say goodbye
As she cradled me in her nest
She only gave me the best
Her wings extended far
Until they gave me the north star

I miss those days of laughter
Those memories, I will always look after
He took her away from my mum
Whom he knew made her sum
Because of him I never see her anymore
But that star is what keeps me from war

Even though she is gone
I still feel her until dawn
Her wings reaching out to my crest
Trying to bring me back to her nest
