The first fleet

I sat beneath the sun and drifted off
But what awoke me
Was not a cough
Yes my son had coughed
But that's not what startled me
It was the sound of a monster
Screeching far out at sea
Giant mibayn
Approached our land
My mother dropped dead
And she fell into the sand
We charged at the mibayn
Knowing we'll lose
Many of us died in seconds
At the sound of a boom
We were prisoners of our own land
Held captive by strangers
So many of us died
And now we are endangered
