The forest

The forest awoke with a feeling of peacefulness
Leaves rustled and swayed
Trees that were left were filled with gratefulness
As their death was delayed
They came with chainsaws and monstrous machines
Plants whimpered at their appearance
Scared of being seen
Watching their friend’s disappearance
Scared everything that was left.
