The Forest and Deforestation

Crooked trees stand tall
as the autumn leaves fall.
Owls hoot in the night
when the moon looks at it all,
lakes hide in the standing wood
after the rain pours.
Sticks are turned into homes
as the loud birds call.
But when the trees fall
it's time to defend
because they might lose their homes
and never be seen again.
