Late in the night,

The sun rests his head,

I hurry towards my haven.

Her arms embrace me,

Making me feel safe,

In my tree, my haven.

Kitten delights in creatures,

Scavengers fleeing the furry beast,

I laugh in my haven.

I’m safe, calm, I’m serene,

Hearing the gurgle of a stream,

The flowers bloom in my haven.

Moon sinks low in the sky,

Stars fade, sun begins to show,

I know I must leave my haven.

Warm in my bed,

Cat by my side,

Asleep, I dream of my haven.
