Come with me to explore

the forest sitting outside our door,

the flowering vines, overgrown,

with moss that garnishes the stones.

I smell the scent of honey in the air,

the gentle breeze flowing through my hair.

I can hear the birds' sweet song

coming from the gum trees, so long.

High up there, the koala sits,

down on the ground, lizards in the slits.

Out here I feel free,

for this poem plants a tree.

Nature is so beautiful, don't you agree?

Why can't you see?

For the lives of the things that inhabit,

what wouldn't you do to save this planet?
