the forest's ways

I feel happy with the trees around me
Lucious, untamed grass surrounds me
Beautiful flowers live beside me
In this forest peace has found me

In the dark night emerges a bat
It catches mosquitoes just like that
Then out of the bushes comes a white rat 
With a second of waiting, away it scat

In the early dawn the kookaburras will sound
And fast little lizards scitter on the ground 
Deep in the density the dingo’s will bound 
And on the trees, weedy vines enwound 

I feel merry with the animals around me
Gorgeous untamed animals surround me
Stunning birds live above me 
In the forest peace has found me
