The Gold Bracelet

Smooth and rounded, no detail at all
Yet could say a thousand words
It is there to take care of me and to be my guardian
A gift from my grandmother before she passed
It makes all the memories I have with her last.
To me it is invaluable
The way it sits around my wrist, the way it shines in the sunlight
Its glim and its glam have never been so bright
Comforts me in times of need.
It feels like all my worries have been freed.
I have those memories with my Nan, all kept in this one gold band.
Given as a gift of love, as she is in heaven, watching from above.
Although it is now old, it still shines through any scratch or mark on the gold.
The gold band is made of a strong metal, as beautiful as a rose flower petal.
I love it so very much and now it is the way I keep in touch.
