In dreamy slumber
They doze upon seabeds
Life drifts rhythmically.
Faint smiles glow,
Swaying water
Shapes and carves graceful swirls
On plain faces.
A restless melody sings,
Waving coral back and forth;
A dance of free movement
With majestic simplicity
Unlike the resting faces
That lay in slight slumber.
Hands, bright of colour
Caress faces
Along slopes of strong noses
And a mountainous, treacherous turn,
Down the cheekbones.
Melody pulls them away
And once more,
They dance.
Gentle light, a spill of shine
Induces waves to shimmer
Within the depths.
The current hums and sighs
Like a mother to her child
An atmosphere of hazy serenity
And drowsy breaths
