The heart of the forest

The tree whimpers, whispers and whistles

A warming sensation goes through my body as the leaves fall on me

Swaying to the tune of some mysterious song

The tree is a wonderful sight to see

It glimmers like 1000 diamonds when the sun shines upon it

Wrapping its arms around me.

The tree is a God

Embracing life, wild and free

Swaying, swishing, singing, a tree

Something I’d love to be

As tall as a house, as green as grass

A tree, as important as me.
