The kangaroo

It's a lump of elastic that bounces skips and hops

The unfortunate souls who are unlucky to hear

The raspy cry will strike them with fear

Most are smart and would run away

But some are foolish enough to stay

Its hearing is incredibly strong

And its tail is exceedingly long

The bellowing brown beast of the sun-swept land

Swiftly hopping across the sand

It would challenge most to cross the rocky plain

The kangaroo would put any obstacle to shame
