The Koala in the Tree

I sit in the luscious green grass as I watch the leaves dance on the trees
as they sway with the window
as life goes on, oh as life goes on
The koalas rest on the brown branches nibbling on green juicy eucalyptus leaves as the sun goes down
oh as life goes on, oh as life goes on
I run my hand down the tree's bark.
It feels rough as it fills my hand with splinters
oh as life goes on, oh as life goes on
Crash bang boom! The truck is near, the trees are falling and the animals are squeaking
oh as life goes on, oh as life goes on
Everything is ruined
As morning arrives, I cross the branches of brown and the leaves of green
The birds gather in the blue sky as they try to find their nests
oh as life goes on, oh as life goes on
Everything is gone as winter comes by. The trees grow higher and higher until they reach the clouds.
The birds sing as the koalas sleep. Everything is back to normal
oh as life goes on, oh as life goes on.
