The Koalas From Down Under

Koalas live in Australia, 

They are part of Animalia.

Living so high up in the gumtrees,

The koalas only like some trees.

They're cuddly like a teddy bear,

And also have very fluffy hair.

Inside their ears, it is a light pink,

And like to give you a little wink.

Most of us have survived many fires,

And seen many fast-moving tires.

We have lost lots of our habitat,

Just all because of domestic cats.

We like eating eucalyptus leaves,

But don't like that species that are thieves.

We also like to eat yummy wood,

The taste of it is bitter and good.
