The Kookaburra

Amongst the shadows of an old Gum Tree,

Lives a Kookaburra,

Flying elegantly through the air.

I feel like a Kookaburra myself,

By listening to its extraordinary laugh.

It's just like a lion's roar.

Kookaburras are nature's jokesters.

It seems to me like they're always telling jokes,

But I don't think other animals hear it,

Because it's always him laughing.
