the leaves

The leaves in the water sit almost perfectly still.
The leaves blow slowly around in the sky with a thrill, whirling, twirling round and round falling softly on the ground.
Each time I made a pile, they took a while to pile. Most leaves fall off the tree and into the sea with a splash. Spades take up leaves no better than spoons, and bags full of leaves are light as balloons.
