The Magic Device

What was this magic device?
The pictures changed as I touched it
Like the swirling reflections in a pond
One side was white as south sea pearls
The other side cold, hard and metallic
I had no clue what it was nor how to use it
But I knew it was magic
It had to be magic
I'd never seen anything like it
Not even on the telly
My teacher passed it 'round for all of us to see
Four years later and I have my own
It's a lucky charm
It helps me through my classes
It helps me pass my tests
Now I can use it leisurely
Or to stay in contact with my friends
Even if people say it's technology
I still believe it's magic
I still believe in the magic of the iPad Air
