Effortlessly the mask was lifted
And placed upon his face
Sunset feathers soft as fairy floss
It was a peacock attracting a mate.
Leather straps dangled
With ocean blue beads.
Gold braiding surrounded
The emerald scales.
Employed to hide the user’s face
It was worn in combat
By an Aztec warrior.
