The Medal

The medal is small but significant
Gold, flat, round, hard and heavy.
It is special because I won the rugby premiership.
Happy and excited, I am a winner.
The medal represents luck, training and team work.
It hangs around my neck like a scarf on a Winters day.

Bright colours
I can hear the crowd roaring as the players run into the field.
