The only one who roams above us,
Watching and providing us with illumination,
Its importance is phenomenal,
It's the only one of its kind,
Its bright rays shine, giving us heat,
Darkness emerges the second it disappears,

It bobbles in the distance,
Used for the occasional photo or two,
Its importance is forgotten not remembering what it can give,
Its green leaves rustle,
Not knowing soon it's going to be gone,
It gives us life but is misused, mistreated even,

Its immense body floods through the land,
Often damaged by a piece of plastic,
Its inhabitants sometimes threatened,
Its beautiful nature sometimes destroyed,
Using it is something we all do,
Its clear blue water a home for many,

Nature comes in many forms, big or small,
Yet should be treated with care.
