As the sun starts sinking down, slowly setting,

As the river slowly crashes against the slippery rocks,

As the lorikeets finish their joyful songs in their rainbow jackets,

As the water still splashes and sploshes,

As the nocturnal creatures come out,

The day comes to an end

And the night comes to life.

Midnight strikes, claiming the darkness.

Stars shining like glistening raindrops.

The night is at rest, settling down the busy forest

And the sun starts to rise again.
