The Night sky

As I look up at the stars in the night sky

The shimmer of stars are in my eye

The stars give me comfort and security

They make me forget about all my insecurities

The stars make me feel safe and at home

When I’m with them I have never felt alone

There’s no sounds except crickets chirping

There’s fireworks going off and you can hear distant cheering

A shooting star flys past

I feel like an outcast
