The first step I take into the water’s edge.
The coldness of the water seeping between my bare toes.
Being a part of something bigger than me,
The feeling of being free.

See the frail palm trees sway in the breeze,
The feeling of tranquillity overwhelms my entire body.
The frothing of the seam foam, like a bath bomb fizzing.
The smooth surface of a shell in my palm, which makes me feel calm.

Power zapping through my daunting body,
As wild waves wash waywardly
Smashing on the shore.
Letting my anger emotion explode,
Giving me an edge to let go.

The rushing adrenaline slows down, allowing me to gain balance,
My empowered feet emerge from out of the clearing water
Wondering if that emotion will remain in me, the next time I see
The ocean again.
