The Only Memory

Something small was sitting on my shelf.
The only memory I had from my past.
It was seven months ago, but it felt like a lifetime.
Captured by a Polaroid camera,
White border and a vintage filter.
Everyone in fancy dresses, laughing at others.
Especially those who didn't like dresses,
I had laughed the most.
It reminds me of the fun that I had,
With all my friends I had met for two years.
A small picture, carrying a thousand words.
It was to celebrate,
My last few weeks of year six,
Saying goodbye to childhood.
This Polaroid
captures all that happened,
In a little picture with my best friends,
The size of my palm.
Everytime I pick it up,
All the memories come flooding at me.
