The Ovens River

The part of the Ovens River I swim in is in Porepunkah.
I like the warm water in the summer.
The cliff I jump from has lots of trees and flowers on it.
I climb from the river up to the top of the cliff.
The water is sometimes deeper than my dad and he is around 6 foot 2.
Sometimes it is as tall as me.
The water is very strong at the drop on all the sharp rocks.
There is also a really tall tree you can climb on,
the tree has a big trunk with carvings in it,
the tree is also very close to the water.
When the river is high my brother jumps from the tree into the water.
Sometimes I lay on my back and relax in the water.
The sounds of the birds make me calm.
My brother always splashes me with the warm water.
I get back on the floaty and fall straight back in the water,
then go to the creek and look for little frogs.
I go back to the river and jump in the water.
I get cold quickly then get warm.
I get dry and play on the playground.
I get in the car then go home.
