The river with crystal clear depths flows gently beside me
As I walk along the rocky path,
The smell of eucalyptus fills the air as I breathe in.
The trees’ bark is pale and smooth, towering above me and looking down from the top, wise and ancient.
A small brown ball catches my eye.
A platypus plays in the perilous river,
Jumping and splashing like a big, brown frog.
The platypus spots me and swims downstream,
But I know I will see him again.
For the platypus loves to play in the river,
And this one is most beautiful,
It’s crystal clear depths flowing in the whisper of the wind.
