Running through the thick bushy trees, somehow light still shines through
not caring if I fell over or not
to me it didn't matter
nothing mattered
I didn't have a care in the world
the trees blew in the summer breeze
blindly running I tripped and stumbled over the shrubs hidden in the dark brown dirt
I hear my friends shrill screams of delight in the distance echoing through the playground as I counted to ten slowly
the leaves danced in the wind slowly as i sprinted as fast as I could
I heard the small bluebirds chirping a new song like they do everyday
we were having the time of our lives
I didn't know it at that moment
but running through those tall trees
tramping through the dark dirt
tripping over everything that came in my way would be one of the most treasured moments in my life
