The Pygmy possum

Along scurries the Pygmy possum

looking for food day and night;

its prey has gone.

Distracted by the blinding lights,

blazing from the windows at night,

led astray by the glow;

the Bogong moth cannot get where it wants to go.

This animal depends on another,

starting small, 

the food chain governs all.
