The river was charming and gleaming, when I saw it, I thought I was dreaming,

I took off my shoe,

and then dipped my foot down in the glamorous flow.

In the fresh river, the fish were flying,

Leaping out of the river like majestic gods,

Then one day I can't deny, the fish lay still and flat.

Days later, a dragonfly attracted my interest,

It buzzed and buzzed and made a beautiful sound,

The sound enticed the ecosystem to replenish.

Gosh I missed them,

The awakened fish laid eggs that turned into larvae, the larvae said, "We're not too much are we?"

There were too many, but I couldn't say so,

They grew into multitudes of fish, too many fish and they had to go.

I followed a path and found someone called Mo,

She was hungry and thin and wanted some fish,

I told her to come and I granted her wish,

She was very happy and went home to her tribe and told them to go to the fish and have a great feast,

I said she could have them; they got my big reward.

I still remember that charming and gleaming river.

I tell my story to my children, Cove and Flow.
