When I put you on
You slip on like a glove
Your gold glints in the sun
Makes me happy while I run

All the times we have
Are stored inside of you
Every single memory
Goes around and round.

Like a circle
It never ends
I imagine my dad’s memories
Of when he was a kid.

He is always laughing
With his family
It puts a smile on my face
And cheers me up for the day.

The tiny scratches all around it
Shows how much my dad wore it
It travelled all the way from Malta
And now gets used when I’m eating salsa.
