The red gum tree
Is visible to nature.
It can stand fire, flood and a drought.
But after all of that, it will not give up.
It is like a shield.
It lives by the river.
To keep the river together.
The veins dig deep down
to the earth.
The inside looks like blood.
Outside is all gray.
People use it for shields, spears, boomerang.
Carry babies and boats.
When it is hollowed out, a shelter .
Insects live in it like
spiders, possums and bees.
Leaves of medicine.
It can live 1,000 years.
