The rock wallabies 

From the scorched outback to the craggy canyons we thrived in what was once called home.

We were kicked out of our mountainous habitat and left to be forgotten in the dark abyss of nothingness…

Until…

The light had come to us and freed us from the pain.

Then we took back what was ours.

The light had sheltered us from the agony and the rest were not as lucky as me.

The danger that still lurks outside is still out there somewhere.

As the sun lies on the horizon and the dark starry blanket covers the night sky

I ponder when everything that had happened to us will end

I am the rock wallaby.
