The Seasons

Spring’s mild and refreshing sunshine, is one of the reasons.
Cherry blossom’s blooming, and sweet Jasmine, floating in the air.
Baby animals comforted by their mother’s love; spring, one of my favourite seasons.
Birds chirping, their song, unique and so beautifully rare.
Then along comes summer, days at the beach, sand beneath my feet.
Relief, as I cool off in the salty sea, the scorching heat at times, too much to bear.
Thunderstorms shake the earth; the skies light up and dances to the beat.
Before we know it, Autumn is here, a pleasant change.
Auburn leaves, gracefully fall from deciduous trees.
The glowing sun sets upon the mountain range
Instinctively nature prepares for what lies ahead.
Rain drenches the earth; becoming muddy as the seasons change.
The cool, harsh months of winter, oh no dread.
How I long for summers warmth, the cold feels so strange.
Snow flakes fall from the skies, the morning dew turns to frost.
Snow covered mountains; nature is still.
Then familiar sounds, and smells of spring return, not lost.
A sigh of relief, I’m at the mercy of nature's will.
