The coin was silver yet more precious than gold,
The coin held memories yet was not that old,
Science and space was the question at hand,
For it was retrieved at NASA – the supreme space land,
A question answered correctly was all it took,
Correct!
Free from harm,
It felt so uneven I thought
And later that day I met a real astronaut,
Stories of space,
and gravitational grace,
Shared all afternoon,
Up came the moon,
The stars and the sky.
As I let out a relief felt sigh,
A picture worthy night,
slowly fading out of sight,
The morning sun,
capturing the luck and memories
deep in the coin I had won.
