The Snow is Here

Leaves whirling and twirling in the cool breeze 
Walking around when a gust of air lifts your feet
Feeling so cold you might just freeze
A river flows in your way so you take a leap
Out of the corner of your eye
You see a single white dot float down to the ground
You watch the snow in the air as the specks of white fly
You hear the wind but it fades, and you look around
You stop in the middle of your tracks 
To enjoy the still and quiet moment, you smell the fresh pine
You feel like you can finally relax 
You feel as if you have been out here for a lifetime
Suddenly the falling snow settles
A thick layer of snow covers the forest floor
The temperature slowly rises
As you look up, you see the sunlight you adore
You feel the sun is coming
A ray of sunlight peak through the trees 
You finally hear insects humming
You finally feel at peace
