A large, furry spider lurked on her web,

Licking her lips as she sunk her fangs,

Into a bloodstained, successful prey,

Which luckily couldn’t feel the painful pangs.

The spider’s web – her trampoline, her bed,

Had acquired a dangerous, scarlet hue.

It was Nature’s well-given warning,

Of which the careless spider never knew.

Suddenly, as another drop of red liquid,

Pierced the web, which was tiered and weak,

The weight of the spider suddenly gave way,

And the creature fell to death with an ‘eek!’
